Description
Black woolen shoulder shawl featuring the Al-Saa’ah embroidery motif blended with the Al-Sarw (Cypress) pattern from the heritage of Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Lydda and Ramle. Tall cypress columns with diamond motifs rise above the arched Al-Saa’ah panel and floral sprays, masterfully embroidered using traditional Falahi and Bratto stitches in a Falahi mix of magenta, crimson, mustard yellow and teal. The delicate addition of metallic couching (Qasab) in gold gives the embroidery a modern spirit, bridging heritage and contemporary fashion.
